REOPEN DC GENERAL HOSPITAL

Come out to a town hall meeting to discuss why we need DC General
Hospital now more than ever. The recent anthrax scare has shown how
important DC General Hospital is. Where did the mayor send postal
workers to get medication- DC General.

In addition to the importance of having a public hospital in times of
bioterrorist attacks or other such emergencies, DC General Hospital is
needed on a daily basis by people all around the city. There is no
longer a Level 1 Trauma Unit in the eastern half of the city. Plus,
Greater Southeast Community Hospital (the one that got the money to
takeover DC General services) regularly turns away people if they don't
have insurance.

It is outrageous and now is the time to speak up!!! Come to the town
hall meeting and hear from postal workers, doctors, EMS workers and
others talk about the realities of healthcare in DC.
CALL 202/722-1392 if you want to help us organize this event.

Here is the information on when and where. The flyer is attached.
